do you mean you think the engine isnt standard? easiest way is look for the obvious, aftermarket cam and head work are pretty obvious and easy to find without removing too much. People tend to not get internal work done without those 2 I mentioned.

If you mean that tag, its definatley a standard tag.

Doesn;t look like a Longmans engine or on the head above the tag's there would be some numbers

I also confirm its standart PUG plate :D just quote the number from the plate and the ones near the PTC and we can give you more info on engine, etc.

Is it not worth whipping the inlet manifold off and taking a look at the ports and valve guides etc, if it's had some sort of work as Richie says you'd expect the ports to at least be cleaned up a bit, and the guides will be new-ish.

Thats normal, B6E 115 bhp engine set to run on 95ron fuel from the factory (lower c/r) & your engine number below it.
