skinner2k3 3 Posted June 19, 2007 Was doing some last minute bits and bobs for the MOT tomorrow. I had the drivers side window down to adjust the mirror and stupidly shut the door. This caused the window to fall off the runner. Its rotten through. I was planning on Perspex windows anyway, but not yet. Is there any (bodge) way of holding the window in, other than tape? I have removed all the mechanism and wiring. At least thats a bit more weight out of the track car!! Cheers Ben
Mikey S 29 1 Cars Posted June 19, 2007 you could try cutting 2 pieces of wood and wedging them in to keep the window up.
skinner2k3 3 Posted June 20, 2007 Got it sorted last night. I had some of that rubbery plastic stuff channeling left over from fitting my glass shower panel. I put that along the bottom edge of the glass to protect it then put three self tapper screws through the inner skin of the door to support it. Sounds like a right bodge, but it seems pretty good really.
