Shocks

Recommended Posts

hi ive just finished putting on my refurbed rear beam and have noticed a little difference with the shocks i have. and wondered if 1 pair was any good or both dead.

they both have resistance when puching down like normal but none return on their own  . also the one pair when pulling back out has like a judder yet the other is smooth :D

ive tried them both on the car and the smoth pair seemed quite soft although i could be confusing that with a rear beam that works  and the ones with the judder seem to make the back end skip a bit over bumps.

just a further note it has grp n rear beam mounts so the back end is totaly different to what i had before hence the question. although i suspect the juddering pair to be dead, i just want confirmation.

I don't know about the juddering, but only gas pressure shocks will return on their own.

Non gas pressure shocks like OEM Peugeot ones are still good though!

I've noticed that with some shocks too, I wonder if it's because they haven't been "worked" for a while.
