Trick 1 Posted June 16, 2007 Ok, so todays attempt to lower my suspension has ended in disaster as usual. AFter completing the drivers side adjusting of the torsion bar (after overcoming the debacle of the shock bolt being put in the wrong side - therefore having to drop the beaM)...i move to the passenger side, and everuything going fine until the head of the torsion bar screw snapped - with almost zero pressure. So, how the hell do i remove it now? I tried fitting two bolts to the screw and undoing one bolt whilst tightening the other in an attempt to unscrew the screw...all this did was break the thread of the screw. Anyone help me as to how i solve this debacle please? NOt long until pugfest and i dont have much time left. Cheers
Jrod 7 Posted June 16, 2007 Is it the torx side or the stud and 13mm nut side? If it the stud then just clamp the stud in a vice/mole grips etc. Worst case just drill it our and re tap thread.
