Jrod 7 Posted June 15, 2007 Right I've taken off my shocks but on the offside bottom bolt the bush has come apart leaving the metal bit firmly attached to the bolt. I managed to grip it to try and turn it which is how I got one off before but this time the whole bolt just turns and because of the design you cant get a spanner or socket on the end. I also tried beating it to try and hit the bolt through the bush but it will not shift (even with a f*** off sledge hammer!) Don't really want to cut it off so wondered if anyone has any ideas? Rupertfinch 6 Posted June 16, 2007 (edited) Had the same issue while removing Spax to replace with oil filled pug shocks. Spent an age leaning on it with mole-grip pliers, bugger all happened! Only option in the end was to use a blow torch, a couple of good whacks and a hammer chisel combination. Oh and make sure to use a shed-load of plusgas or WD40 (as plusgas was on it's last legs by the time the OSR sleeve was removed). jonnie205 1 Posted June 16, 2007 I have had a few of these that are very very hard to remove. It will be arm off and somehow mount it in a press and see if it will come out with lots of heat. If it wont come out with a few hits of the sledge hammer ime afraid it will be arm off. Once i had now luck getting one out and had to fit a new arm Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
