Fly Wheel Cover

Recommended Posts

skinner2k3

I have fitted a 1.6 BE3 non lift reverse gearbox to my 1900 XU engine and for some reason I cant get the fly wheel cover plate to fit back on. Its like it needs to be fitted between the box and block???

That isnt right is it?

Also how tight should the bolts be which hold the box on. I didnt torque them, just applied a reasonable amount of torque to a 6" ish ratchet. Should I undo and retorque them or leave it?

Cheers

Ben

I believe the cover plate for the 1.6 and 1.9 are different, try swapping them around.

Yes the 2 are different due to the 1.9 being a taller engine.

Do the bolts up to where it feels right if you don't have a torque wrench. Tight but not over-tight.
