19mm Head Bolt?

I plan on adjusting the beam at the weekend, after reading the guide on main site, it recommends using a 19mm head bolt to get the plate off...

 

anybody got a spare one i can have please? or what else can i use..?

Yep, absolutely spot on!

If you feel VERY lucky (like I did and it worked :D ) you can try using an old head bolt. Bear in mind that it increases the risk of damaging the threads on the plate.

The thread of a headbolt is totally different to the thread you need for the ARB end plate so a Bendix caliper mounting bolts is the best option.

 

You can usually find them on the floor around any 205/s or other Pugs in scrapyards easily enough.

im sure ive got some spare caliper bolts from when i bought the brake fitting kit from pug years ago...i`ll route around the garage..

any M12 x 1.5 threaded bolt will suffice, I.E a ford wheel bolt etc.

 

there'd be plenty of these in the scrap yard :) (17mm)
