Trick 1 Posted June 13, 2007 I plan on adjusting the beam at the weekend, after reading the guide on main site, it recommends using a 19mm head bolt to get the plate off... anybody got a spare one i can have please? or what else can i use..?
Alastairh 47 Posted June 13, 2007 Just use a rear caliper bolt
dani959 0 Posted June 13, 2007 Just use a rear caliper bolt Yep, absolutely spot on! If you feel VERY lucky (like I did and it worked ) you can try using an old head bolt. Bear in mind that it increases the risk of damaging the threads on the plate.
pug_ham 244 3 Cars Posted June 13, 2007 If you feel VERY lucky (like I did and it worked ) you can try using an old head bolt. Bear in mind that it increases the risk of damaging the threads on the plate. The thread of a headbolt is totally different to the thread you need for the ARB end plate so a Bendix caliper mounting bolts is the best option. You can usually find them on the floor around any 205/s or other Pugs in scrapyards easily enough. Graham.

welshpug 1,657 Posted June 19, 2007 any M12 x 1.5 threaded bolt will suffice, I.E a ford wheel bolt etc. there'd be plenty of these in the scrap yard (17mm)
