Phase 1 Wiring - Coolant Temp Sensor

eager to try out my new engine, but i want to know which wire goes to the coolant temp guage....

 

(i have no numbers on my wires as they've rubbed off since '86 lol)

 

anyone happen to know the colour or have a pic

No idea on the colour but I think one could be red.

 

There are only two wires to the sensor so if you have two random spare wires on the expansion tank side (usually in a red plug), try touching them together & see if the low water light illuminates on the dash.

there is 1 red and 1 yellow spade terminals going into two sensors into the back of the Stat housing if thats what you mean?

Also the ECU coolant temp sensor just underneath these(mulitplug with 2 wires)
