Partner Diesel Engineswap?

Recommended Posts

Jesper Cronelid

Hello!

Im thinking of buying a diesel Partner -97 from work, and was hoping to learn what engine code it has and if it's possible to swap that boring dieselengine to a newer HDi engine? Or is there another engine that will fit?

The problem is that this engine in that car hasn't a lot of milage left till it breaks fully.

There is also a problem with the rear axle, is there any possibillityes that a rearaxle from another car will fit?

Thanks a lot, Jesper

The engine could be an XUD7(A9A), XUD9A (D9B), XUD9Y (DJY Bosch fuel pump) or XUD9Y (DJY Lucas pump) if they are the same as listed on my Autodata.

No idea about the rear axle though apart one from the equivilent Citroen van possibly. :)

Graham.

The Citroen Berlingo is more or less the same van so rear beams have a good chance of being the same.

berlingo and partner use a beam, the expert, scudo and citroen equvilent use coils.

im pretty sure that the hdi's are multiplexed so you could have some major issues getting it to work in the partner.

better off with a xud9te and tweak the pump a little.

Isn´t the berlingo/partner more or less a 306/ZX "van" technical wise ? I bet it´s the same beam.

I can take meashures on my ZX and send them over  Kåååmpis !

The very first HDi's (DW10) used in the 306's weren't multiplexed as such, so one of those could fit. You'll probably have real fun trying to mix and match the looms to get it to work though.

You'll also have fun with the imobiliser, you need the right key and black box to match the ECU.
