swordfish210 20 Posted June 11, 2007 i was going to try and fit my new rose jointed gear linkage today but i failed at the first hurdle, i couldnt get the gear nob off The haynes manual said that it just pulls off but after much pulling and a severly red face i gave up. Is it true that it just pulls off and i'm just being a big girl or does it come off in a different way. Thanks

maturin23 10 Posted June 12, 2007 My method yesterday was.. - quick change from second into third gear - knob comes off unexpectedly in hand - drop knob under passenger seat - hurt hand changing gear with metal stick
S33GAV 0 Posted June 12, 2007 Just pulls off, try twisting it. Be careful not to break the rear view mirror as I've done this in the past
