hexhamstu 9 Posted June 11, 2007 how much can this blowing effect power? after refitting the head to my car it was seriously down on power. discovered the cam cover was leaking into the spark plug holes, sorted that out, now its better but still slow as s*it. changed the afm aswell. the downpipe is obviously blowing but just wondering if i could have more problems that just that. grandos 16 Posted June 11, 2007 Did you have the exhaust manifold off cause if you've put the gaskets on the wrong way round this could affect the power and would not help the blowing of the exhaust.

pug_ham 244 3 Cars Posted June 12, 2007 i the engine timing 100% right, did you mark the dizzy before you took that off?Stu's car is an Mi16 so it can't be fitted wrong very easily. A blowing manifold can cost quite a lot of power if its bad enough. Graham
