pug309twin40s 1 Posted June 7, 2007 having just got my 309 2lt Mi16 goodwood back on the road and just tidying up couple of bits in engine bay. anyone know what this part is and what it does?? http://homepage.ntlworld.com/pug309twin40s...od/Image002.jpg also on the throttle body on side with main air hose attachment theres a thick connection above for idle vavle hose and then 2 smaller connections beside that one. connection at front i have a pipe going to the oil filler tub but dont know what goes on the other connection?? http://homepage.ntlworld.com/pug309twin40s...od/Image003.jpg http://homepage.ntlworld.com/pug309twin40s...od/Image004.jpg the open connection sucks air in with engine running and if you blank it the engine dies. anyone know what it should connect to as sounds like a jet is being sucked in the engine bay!! Richie-Van-GTi 74 2 Cars Posted June 8, 2007 first pic is solenoid for the charcoal canister on the 306's, just leave it plugged in and vented to atmosphere like it is now. 2nd one IIRC is T'd into the inatake pipe behind the air filter.
