Mi16 Engine Lack Of Power

Recommended Posts

Guest simran

Hi, i have a problem with my BX16v, more often than not it feels lacking in power, sometimes the power will kick back in. Its not something cutting completely out, like ignition or fuelling can often do, as power is still there, just feels slow. I have already replaced the airflow meter, ICV and ECU but it is still happening. What else can i swap/try to help find out what the problem is. The vacuum pipe to the fuel pressure regulator is air tight so i dont suspect this as a cause of the problem. Any help much appreciated.

Have you checked for air leaks around the inlet? TB to afm pipe could be split.

When last did you change the fuel filter. Posible its stinking and not flowing well enough.

It could actually be the clutch on its way out, can the engine rev higher without speeding up the car at all?

No, its definately not that, brand new clutch. The engine just isnt pulling as it should, saying that, this morning dropping the girlfriend off at work it was back to normal, untill i got into my area then it went back to slow mode.
