Radiator Cooling "cap" Pressure For Mi16

Hello,

 

I couldnt find simillar articles, so i wanted to ask

the Mi16 standart cooling system works on 1 bar pressure, as far i as see in the tech docs.

My current radiator (new one) and cap (expansion tank is on radiator)

are from DKZ engine 1,9 8v which is 1,4 bar cooling pressure.

Can you comment on this ? and should i change the CAP and put 1 bar cap on the radiator ?

 

At the moment when i open the cap (1,4 bar) - even after driving the car a lot, i see no pressure sound from opening the cap and no pressure at all. Which may not be so good for the cooling system. Also the car keeps very high running temperatures in city. Above 95.

I'd leave it on as long as it's not causing any leak problems due to the higher pressure. Having a higher pressure means that the water in the cooling system won't boil until a higher temperature.

In traffic 95*C is about right, I wouldn't worry about that.
