Trick 1 Posted June 1, 2007 YEah thats what i thought. Mine did....before i went for an mi conversion. came back without one. i put one on today and it sealed but for 5 mins. then started leaking....wouldnt seal, guess i need a proper fitting one from Pug. Anyone know what size? Is it an o ring or a fibre type washer?
lagonda 42 Posted June 3, 2007 Just a rubber washer. My radiator was new in 2001 & the washer is perished already. Larf! Frankly any rubbere washer should do, it's not under any really great pressure, just make sure it's a good fit. The drain plug on mine is plastic ... if yours is metal a fibre washer would be fine, but with plastic I think you'd strip the thread before it would be tight enough to seal properly. Trick 1 Posted June 3, 2007 any washer i put on kept failing... noticed that my plastic drain plug was cracked on the thread, not visible until it put under pressure. problem solved
