jackherer 543 Posted May 30, 2007 I have been trying to solve a very slight bit of play in the steering of my friends 205 for a long time now, I've changed the column and rack and tried loads of other things such as tightening loose subframe bolts in an attempt to cure it. Eventually I found the problem, it was the aftermarket steering wheel boss, once it got very bad it became obvious and once I took it off the column it fell apart totally. I'm glad I found it before it failed totally, it could have been a very scary failure! I don't know who made this boss but I wouldn't want another one the same...
