danpug 1 Posted May 27, 2007 (edited) I've got the opportunity to buy a nice 1.8 16v to replace my shagged engine. Its still running in the car and uses the transponder type immobiliser system, not the earlier keypad setup. My question is how do i ensure the ecu gets unlocked? Is it a case of unplugging it whilst the engine is running? Thanks. Edit: I'm sure its the same process you need to go through with other engines like the s16 and gti6. danpug 1 Posted May 27, 2007 Yep all alloy. Out of a 306 meridian but came in the later 306 xs's, lots of 406's and some citroens.

205turbo 32 2 Cars Posted May 28, 2007 unplug the transponder when running or just pull the ecu plug, do not connect back in the car if the transponder is still connected as the lock signal will be sent cheers paul
