New Caliper Bolts

Recommended Posts

miamistu

Hi,

Does anybody know where I can get new front caliper - hub bolts online? I'm carless at the mo so can't get to a main stealer.

Also are standard 1.9 bolts suitable for the gti 180 setup?

Thanks in advance

Stu

Where did the bolts you used originally come from mate?

If you push the car into the garage and take out that remaining bolt for measuring we can order some from anywhere that sells HT bolts which would probably be quicker than waiting for the dealers

Provided the bolts are the short ones you will be fine. The 1.6 ones are long, but the 405/306/206/1.9 all seem to be the same, and are fine to use with 180 brakes. Mine came from a 405 as it was all i could get on christmas eve last year...

Any idea what the spec of the bolts is anyone?

I'd guess they're 12.9 grade, but can anyone say what the thread and length is?

T'would be a big help!

Cheers!

Alex

Dur, oh yeah :)

For anyone searching in the future, they are indeed M12 x 1.5mm - 35mm long. They are grade 10.9 and plain shanked too. :)
