Is There A Good Be Gearbox?

Recommended Posts

Jesper Cronelid

Hello..!

Ive planned to use a 205 BE3/5 to my xu10j2te engine. But when I browse the forum, lots of people says that what you really sould use is a TD gearbox.

Is that a 406 TD gearbox? Isn't it steerd by wire?

It would be great if there was a linkage BE turbodieselgearbox :) So I could use standard driveshafts (Is it called driveshaft in english?)

Thanks, J

a 306 Td/Hdi box suits the bigger torque curve and powerband,

you would need to change the selection arm (as you do on a mi16 box)

cheers

Just to share the information: Boeseturbo was so kind to inform of proberly the best choise as I see it. It is the BE3R gearboxes. They are used at the diesel engines, but in some cases also on the petrol engines. For some strange reason one of them is the xantia 1.8 90 hp.

It is called

BE3R

TB91

TD80

TE30

diff: 19 x 70

1. 11 x 38

2. 23 x 43

3. 25 x 32

4. 41 x 39

5. 44 x 35

Oh and DON'T use one from a HDI (DW) engine because it won't fit at all. Use one from a XU-engine.
