Guest BILLBOBEGINS Posted May 25, 2007 Hi, in reverse my 205 knocks and holds the car back slightly do you have any ideas wat this could be. also whilst driveing there is a knocking coming from the same area when the suspension is on its down stroke, could these two be linked? Thanks.
boombang 2 Posted May 25, 2007 Usually on the 1.6, knocking on reversing is caused by the brake calipers (pad turns slightly and digs in). At a guess, I'd go with drop links causing the knocking - tends to be a looseness on the top of the droplink (in my experience) that then bangs inside the eye on the strut. bren_1.3 1 Posted May 25, 2007 at a guess its the calipers sticking in reverse. i get it with mine every so often. the knocking over bumps could be top mounts or anti roll bar drop links. beaten to it by seconds!
