Is It Possible To Lower The Front Seats Easily?

As above really, is there a quick way of lowering the seats or is it new sub frame time and so forth?

I lowered my front seats by fitting a set of Cobra's which are bolted straight to the floor, its not a 5 minute job though as I had to fabricate some custom subframes. You'll also struggle due to the raised beam which is part of the chassis which is what the front of the seats are bolted to. I think my seats now sit around 1.5" lower.

There are some plastic spacers about 10mm thick between the frame and the floor that can be removed.

If 10mm isn't enough than you can remove the tilt mechanism and fit the subframe from a 5-door 205 which will lower it another inch or so.

Fit the subframe from a 5 door, they dont have the tilt so sit a fair bit lower but getting in the back might be a pain (but then there's an excuse to srip it out? :))

About 15-20mm is gained by fitting 5 door mountings in place of the tilt so about 1 inch total including the lower spacers. I've done mine and it helps. I couldn't help but notice though that the 5 door spacers are quite tall so with a bit of work it may be possible to drop it significantly further. However, in standard lazy style I looked, I pondered, I ignored!

Thanks chaps, I am not overly tall but I think that me in a crash helmet could be tricky. I will investigate, thanks for the guidance.
