Jrod 7 Posted May 20, 2007 You can use a bendix caliper bolt Either one of the fronts if it's a 1.6 or one of the rear if its a 1.

V8Pete 0 Posted May 21, 2007 Doesn't need to be 100 mm long. 40 is more than enough from memory.

Wicker man 2 Posted May 21, 2007 ive sorted it all now my mechinic will lend me a torx tool thingy & he's found me a 19mm bolt now its only 90mm long so that should be ok? does it need to be threaded all the way down?
Jrod 7 Posted May 21, 2007 No but it needs to be the right thread...
V8Pete 0 Posted May 21, 2007 (edited) The main thing is to make sure the 19 mm head bolt is M12x1.5. That's not the most common M12 pitch. Should only be a couple of bucks from a bolt shop so I don't really know why people seem to have so much trouble with them. I used 35 mm long bolts and that was plenty of length. It might be handy to have a bolt, nut, and big washer to suit the torsion bar thread, but I can't remember what size that is.
