Zed 0 Posted May 17, 2007 Thought id share this little nugget of information for all those who like me have been putting up with a flapping coin tray for too long.... 1: Ring 0870 240 7641 (brabantia bins customer support) 2: repeat the words "Bonjour, I have one of your 40ltr touch bins that i purchased from argos/homebase/john lewis a few years ago....and now the touch clasp doesnt work anymore, please supply with a new one under the 10 year guarentee" 3: wait by the letterbox for its arrival 4: clip into place and enjoy a non flapping drive around for the first time in months/years. Hope this solves at least someones annoyance. Phil.

Jrod 7 Posted May 17, 2007 Mine works (and springs up)
TEKNOPUG 3 Posted May 17, 2007 I did superglue it down. Which worked. Until I came to swap the dash... I find that if you actually remove the whole clip until, it will sit shut and not rattle unless you hit something pretty hard in the road.
Zed 0 Posted May 18, 2007 they are free....brabantia use exactly the same clip on the touchbins as are in the coin tray... brabantia have 100's of people ringing up for these clips everyday and just send them out in the post under the guarentee... If anyone feels at all dishonest about it I have a load of damaged brabantia bins here that i could pull the clip off and post out if you like.

Baz 421 Posted May 18, 2007 What about the springs? They're the bit, or where they sit, that's more commonly broken/missing in my experience.
Super Josh 4 Posted May 18, 2007 What about the springs? They're the bit, or where they sit, that's more commonly broken/missing in my experience. That all part of the coin tray, so comes with a new one. Josh
