Over Fueling Help Needed

Recommended Posts

hoody_g

Right i have a gentry 205 1.9 auto, last year the gear box went so i replaced the engine and box with a spare engine and box. Now i have everything conected up the engine will not start. So far i have replaced the plugs, leads, dizzy cap, rotor arm and the battery for new parts.

On cranking the engine the cylinders fill with petrol and flood the engine, though if i disconect the injectors and crank the engine over it fires and idles at 1000rpm before burning the fuel in the cylinder.

I have tryed changing these parts with my spares,

AFM

ECU

Fuel Rail

Injectors

Fuel Pressure regulator

Colant temp sensor

All the relays under the drivers steering wheel

Ignition Module

Coil

I am now at a loss as i dont know what else to try, any recomendations would be more than grateful.

Cheers

Graeme

Just been out at the car and unpluged the sensor and checked the wires. All looks fine sprayed it with wd40 and pushed it firmly home and still the same problem.

The sensor was changed to a known working one off of the spare engine.

Is the replacement engine of the same type?

Any chance of any bust wires?

AFM OK and plugged in?

My gut says bust ECU or a sensor issue (or the wiring to them) but given the number of variations of 1.9 Peugeot made it is worth checking this.

Corect i am a fud

Went out today and traced all the wires to make sure they were in the right place. And would you guess it the ECU Temp Sender was conected to the wrong plug :)

Changed it over and the engine runs fine.

Cheers for all the replies.

Be sure to give it an oil change now- this contaminates the oil with petrol VERY quickly....
