Quick Question Regarding Hubcentric Spacers

Recommended Posts

Mandic

Hi,

I need to put my wheels out for cca 6mm due to brake caliper clearance issues and hubcentric ring is 9mm long.

Now, is 3mm of hubcentric ring enough to hold the rim in place while driving? Or is that ring only needed when I put rims on so they line up properly and when I tighten the bolts, ring holds no role?

Or is it better to fit thicker spacer with intergated hubcentric ring?

Cheers

I would say the 3mm is ok, it is only to locate the wheel central on the hub really i would've thought, which the 3mm would still do, providing the centre bore is a square edge rather than a large chamferred edge as i've seen on some wheels.

Yes, I think it's square one.

Can you not go 3mm behind the spacer and 3mm in front?
