Running A 1.9 With An Ecu/afm From A 1.6....

Would the engine run at all?

 

getting the right ones soon.. but just wanted to know as i wanna see if my engine starts up

It will run, but overfuel due to the larger 1.9 injectors.

It will run, but it's not recommend as a long-term solution. Ideally you'd change the injectors too, but just for short periods of toubleshooting it's probably not worth the hassle.

got the 1.9 kit on the way hopefully but the engine should be in tomorrow so just wanted to see if it would fire up

i jus stuck my 1.9 afm on my 1.6 and vice versa by mistake the other day, 1.6 seemed to run ok but 1.9 reved real high. only did a few miles on each tho so cant say for sure
