pete1986 2 Posted May 10, 2007 I came across a cheap, barely used RSX kit. Front coilovers and rear adjustables for £300. I thought it was pretty good deal so i snapped them up. I havent tried them yet as my pug has been away for a few weeks , coming back soon with an mi16 make-over courtesy of dan taylor (taylorspug) . Anyway i have read both good and bad stories about the RSX kit and dunno who to believe. I will be using them for fast road, maybe an odd trackday when i save up the pennies. Will they be ok? Anthony 1,003 Posted May 11, 2007 Never tried the RSX kit, but the lesser Spax kit (whatever the standard spring version is called) is frankly hateful and absolutely wreaks the ride and handling - it impressively manages to be stiff, crashy, and yet still be under-damped
pip470 61 Posted May 11, 2007 Im no racer mate and have never been on a track with them, I dont even know how to set them right but i love them, nice and stiff and the front is nicely lowered too. I think ive got them set to thier stiffest setting and it is bone shaking. On the first car i had them on the rears seemed to be solid but then i relised my beam was siezed. Much better now. I dont know if this was the cause but it would understeer really badly especially in the wet before. Overall am happy with them but thats probably because i have nothing to compare them to. Cheers phill

Longfield 0 Posted May 12, 2007 the rsx kit comes with 275lb springs as std. So it's fine at the front. The rears are great for fast road but far far far too soft for track. I've got them on my track only car and am keeping the fronts but buying Spax's motorsport rears for the 205. So in a nuttshell, if you mainly only do road driving they'll be fine. If you want to a number of track day's then i'd strongly suggest upgrading to their motorsport rears.
