ChrisG 0 Posted May 9, 2007 When I'm putting the Mi16 head back together which end does no1 bearing cap go? I've done a search and couldn't find owt, and consulted the Haynes book of lies and it says replace them in the order they were removed...................but I never removed them Cheers
brianthemagical 1 Posted May 9, 2007 hasn't one got the facility to house the big crank seal? thats how i worked it out. the tabs in the surface for the bearing should be on the same side of the crank (close to each other) which should give you an idea of orientation. the center main is distiguishable as well. ChrisG 0 Posted May 9, 2007 (edited) Its the camshaft bearing caps, sorry if I didn't make it clear enough Edited May 9, 2007 by ChrisG
Mikey G 3 Posted May 9, 2007 The cam cap nearest the pulley end will have an oil hole in the centre of it where the spray bar goes onto. The rest of them should follow down the numbers. I cant remember which way around the tabs go and i'm too lazy to go take a look in the shed
