Sliders On Front 1.9 Gti Girling Brakes

as above, my sliders are different. one has a plastic sleeve and a hex head and the other i all metal with 3 opposing flats on the slider surface and the haed is of a 2 opposing flats on a circle type. any idea which is the top and which is the bottom (with caliper in places on car) please? thanks.

 

i might be able to figure it out from a photo of the calipers if anyones got some handy.
