SPGTi 2 Posted May 7, 2007 Decided to try some Carbon Lorraine pads out in my 1.9 std calipers (rs6 compound). I was very impressed, bite was good from cold and they seemed to get better as the night went on. I refreshed the brake fluid with a 5.1 and use braided hoses. There was a lot of dust (I mean a lot) at the end so I am not sure how long they will last. Overall I am impressed with the pads just need to inspect the discs to see how harsh they were on these as they seemed to get very hot very quickly. Chris H 10 Posted May 15, 2007 i've been thinking of using these on my rally car with PTS alcon's on the front and std rear brakes. I've heard they were very harsh on disks. Be interesting to hear how they wear
Rippthrough 98 Posted May 15, 2007 Their design philosophy is maximum friction via mechanical means, so they do tend to eat discs - but discs are cheap!
Chris H 10 Posted May 15, 2007 Not for mu Alcon set up they aren't!!! I can't even find some replacements! But i'm thinking of these for my 306 S16 road rally car too, maybe RC5's on the rear
