Whats This Connecter ?

Hi guys / girls , as title , just replaced the exhaust gasket , noticed this was hanging loose before i started anything though , now it wont start ( also took tb off and cleaned too ) ive double checked everything i dissconnected before i started and all is right , im getting a spark and also can smell petrol when cranking so any ideas ? just thinking i may have caught this in the process without noticing ?????? It has 3 pins which are pretty dirty looks like it might of been disconnected for a while

if it any help i had the same looking one on mine, i cant tell you what its for i think it clutch sensor or something but not sure but it goes somewhere below you d cap around that way thats where i found it , if thats any help thanks j

its a crankshaft position sensor. Not used on the 205 engine management but can be used for diagnostics. It shouldn't be plugged in anywhere. Out of the factory the were clipped to a metal tab on the rocker cover.

It definitely isn't the problem.

Thanks fellas , thats that ruled out , still no clue as to why it aint starting though , been back out to it checked dizzy etc and the diodes look quite burnt and very rough is this normal ? was fine before i done the exhaust manifold and tb

What i meant was the terminals , they look very very rough , ill try and get a pic when this rain eases off

Was only changed a couple of months ago !
