pug_ham 244 3 Cars Posted May 6, 2007 Have you removed the bolt at each end of the torsion bar? A torx one (usually) with the offset washer in the radius arm & the nut at the opposite end? Graham.

pug_ham 244 3 Cars Posted May 8, 2007 Have you removed ther rerar shock's With themill fitted there will be tension in the torsion bar & you'll have a hell of a job to get it free. If you have removed them, it looks likes its time to check how well the rebuild was done & take it apart to free the torsion bars off so you can adjust the ride height easily. (& refurb it yourself know). A few good whack 2lb lump hammer on the radius arm nearest the centre tube should get the bar free from the tube & then you can put an M8 bolt into the stud end (with a large washer to protect the torsion bar) & hit that end to get the torsion bar out of the radius arm with it off the car.
