impne 2 Posted May 6, 2007 Hello I have a Citroen Visa Gti that I'm changing engine and most of the running gear at the moment and thought about brake upgrade after reading a few threads on here. It is basically the same as 205 1.6 Gti, mine has the 115 engine in it. The chap I spoke to who is selling them says I only need the callipers, bolts, discs and pads and they will swap straight over (these are the bits he's selling) ? I questioned about 1.9 hubs and driveshafts as I've read on here you need them and he says no. Can anyone confirm cheers Lee
Hilgie 16 2 Cars Posted May 7, 2007 You do need 1.9 hubs and driveshafts to fit the 306HDi (266m) stuff. However I have heard that some 206 266mm stuff does have the right offset and fits the 1.6 hubs. Not sure though, but someone on here might clarify.
pug_ham 244 3 Cars Posted May 8, 2007 I've just had a search through www.brakeworld.co.uk & I couldn't find any 206 discs with the same or very similar offset to the 1.6 discs. Best to get either base model hubs or the full 1.9 GTi front driveshafts & hubs. Graham.
impne 2 Posted May 9, 2007 Thanks for that chaps Best as you say to get the lot I think. What is the best place for driveshafts at a good price? Long time since my tinkering days and have lost touch with parts suppliers
