Mi16 Woes Stil....

following on from the previous topic i have now got the engine back but still no luck with it firing, im putting it down to me fitting the dizzy adaptor badly as i am getting a spark and the carbs are fueling

 

any way

question 1 for 100 points, how do you fit the adaptor lol

 

the way i have is... set piston 1 to tdc and line the drive bit on the cam so that the rotor arm sits bang in the middle of one of the spark lead contacts, then fit the leads round the cap to match the firing order,

i cant see any other way of fitting or how this could be wrong

what haynes manual :D im learning as im going here and strugeling a little bit

 

taking a break for a bit as iv killed my battery, again.....

have you tried to test if the spark is coming through the cap?

theres a spark at the plug, i dont know how strong it is though, how can you test it, i cant see my multimeter wanting to go near it,

 

i thoink tomorrow i will pull it all apart again and start from scratch just in case,

well did compression test and still no compression, its up from 0-0-40-0 to 100 acoss all 4 cylinders, so it looks like im going to have to buy some solid lifters now, thouigh on the bright side i may as well buy some nice big cams too :D lol what would people recomend??
