Pictures Of Lowered 205s

Recommended Posts

GTI6BOY

Hi,

Problem is the picture below is of my cti which already came lowered on shocks and springs but with no name on them. Well my suspension started to bottom out on speed humps so i purchased a full set of konis (yellow top adjustable) and fitted new top mounts and droplinks at the same time.

I am so dissapointed as my car looks like 4x4? Koni say there springs are 30mm drop?

How low does my car look in the pic?

People recommend Ebaich springs but i have spoken to them and they said there not as low as the konis?

How can i make my car look like that pic again?

Pics please of what you lot have got, and what size wheels you have got.

I need to keep my shocks but i am happy to get diff springs.

Thanks

I've got Eibach springs on standard dampers on my 1.6 8V and they are a little bit lower than that. I think the Eibach springs (certainly mine anyway) actually drop them by 40mm.

It's difficiult to say as the car has bigger wheels so will always look higher, but I think the Eibach springs are probably a similar height (neither of them mega low).

The rear is higher because the Koni rear shocks are very high gas pressure and have a lot of natural rebound force.

Attached picture is standard 14"s on Koni springs. Lower than on the Jamex springs fitted before them. Approx a 40mm drop imo.

Same suspension on 15"s here.

Thanks for the replys guys, i think i am going to go with the spax 50mm on the front.

The garage who fitted my rears said that the back would sit high as they are very tough but can i just lower the back another notch?

Using the right method you can lower or raise the back end to any mm adjustment rather than just a spline.

Graham.

Skip Brown Phase 1 setup, new top mounts and fast road bushes, so it may settle a bit more yet.
