Master Cylinder To Servo Seal

hi

 

fitted a new master cylider to my s16 205 today

but i have just been thinking and i dont remember a seperate rubber seal between the master cylinder and the servo

should there be one?

i don't think there's a seal between the M/C and the servo; the rod in the servo is adjustable though - maybe that's the problem - ?

There should be a rubber O ring seal that seats in a groove in the master cylinder and seals up against the face of the servo.

 

EDIT: If you have a bit of room (bearing in mind you are running an S16 and probably have very little clearance around the M/C!), just undo the two bolts for the M/C and pull it out slightly, you should be able to see the O-ring on the back of it.

i have pulled the master cylinder clear and there was a seal already fitted
