Swazy 0 1 Cars Posted May 4, 2007 Dear i have a great problem, i did an mi conversion as some of you may know. Yesterday i put in a new batterie for the first time to see what happen if i start. The lights, fuel tank sender, in-room lights, brake lights works as normal. But i can´t start engine, the starter won´t run, also i didn´t hear anything from ecu and fuel pump. The side indicators won´t work too. the complete wiring loom i took from a late 205 GTI with XU9JAZ, only we put in the wiring is knock sensor and cables for SAD Maybe one of you had a porblem like this before and my help me out Ah, the base was an 205 XS from 1993, i changed everything into GTI, front suspension, rear beam, brakes, likely everything Greetz Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Pug_101 0 Posted May 4, 2007 I would get the starter working first. Try running a lead from the spade connector on the solinoid directly to the battery. The starter should work and you can go from there. When the engine spins round you can check for spark. Fuel pump lead was in the power/fuse box on the slam panel so check connections and fuses first. Cheers Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
