petert 586 Posted May 2, 2007 I noticed there was a group buy on for TB's and ARB's. I've just done a similar thing over here. One of the problems I see with big ARB's is necking down to the small spline for the std. arms. I've just had some 26mm ARB's made but I've remanufactured the standard arms to take a larger 25mm spline. The std. ARB spines are 19 and 20mm from memory. So there must a degree of twisting at this point if you use a 25mm (or bigger ARB), effectively reducing its effectiveness. Another alternative is to use GTi6 arms and shorten the 24mm GTi6 ARB. Anthony 1,003 Posted May 2, 2007 For what it's worth, even the 30mm ARB's from Peugeot Sport retained the standard 205/309 spline sizes so I don't think that it can be a huge problem. If using a 24mm or larger ARB you could get the splines cut in the larger 306/ZX size without issue, and if requested this can be done on the group-buy ARB's that 205Parts are doing - the decision was made to use the smaller 205/309 size by default as that's what people will already have on their beam and hence keeps costs down for the end user. (the uprated ARB's for 306/ZX's that they'll be doing shortly will have the larger splines by default as obviously that's what the 306/ZX owners will already have)

Was that because of the rules for the class in which they were racing though. Rules and reg mean they don't always do the thing they might want to...
