Throttle Bodies, Are They "big" Enough For My Engine?

Recommended Posts

Ole_1987

Hello everybody.

I've read alot about TB's from motorcycles on this forum and i've desided to use throttle bodies from a GSXR 600 on my 1,9L gti with modifications.

But are the "big" enough / can they feed my engine with what it needs or do i have to use some other tb's?

Engine:

1,9L with engine code: DKZ (122hp)

Modified cam with a lift of 12,5mm

Modified cylinder head.

Devil manifold

aproximately 145hp / 182nm.

I'd say yes, bodies' flow more air than carbs for a given size.

i would imagine that they would be fine, considering when i bike is revving to approxamatly 12k, its going to have to be able to get fuel to a bike engine.

yes a car has bigger capacity but is not revving like a bike, so i would imagine it would be able to compensate this. id say yes those bodies would be fine.
