mrknighty1 0 Posted April 30, 2007 Does anyone know what size the thread is that holds the engine mounting on at the cam belt side of the engine, two bolts screw into the block and the other screws into the head. I'm try to put it all back together after a rebuild but the thread in the head is a bit damaged and I what to run a tap through the hole. At first I thought it maybe M10x1.25 (fine pitch) but its not. Any help would be great

mrknighty1 0 Posted April 30, 2007 Its not M10x1.5 its alot finer more like 1.25 pitch. I found a M10x1.25 tap on sunday and the pitch looked a close match to the bolt so I thought I would try the tap in a hole that the bolts screwed into ok. The tap screwed in a few turns then jammed up highlighting that its probably the wrong pitch.
