1.9 Brakes Same As Any Other Model

i'm sure there was a post on this somewhere, but are the 1.9 calipers carriers and disc and pad the same off any other model? 205 what about a fairly standard 309 what size brakes do they come with and would the hub fit too. theres a very cheap 309 thats why i'm asking are the arms same as 205 gti? its not a gti 309 though

Only other cars I know that have the same brakes as the 205 1.9 GTi is the 309 GTi but the brakes fitted to any 309 with vented discs should be the same. (& possibly the ZX volcane)

All 205 & 309's have 247mm discs either solid or vented. Hubs from an XU engiend 309 will fit the 1.9 205 but I don't know about the TU engined 309's.

iirc the calipers from earlier derv 306's are similar to 1.9 ones/will fit?

yes zx volcane and tdervs are the same. and 306 td's.

 

i think only the 309gti are the same, but if the one yourve found is a td it may be too.

Most 306TD's that I've seen / worked on have had ATE calipers on them.

 

ZX 1.6's, 1.9TD's, 1.9i's and 2.0i's all seem to have 1.9 style Girling calipers on them.
