[car_overhaul] Got Myself A New Car :d

Recommended Posts

B1ack_Mi16

Got myself a 1991 2905 Gti yesterday, it's been sorrento-green I think, but it's been repainted in a little different color.

Last owner put a very nasty bodykit on it, so it really looks crappish

But I got it cheap because the engine started to knock.. rod-bearing.

It's got ABR brakes, powersteering, remote locking / alarm, sunroof, and only 93000km = 5700miles on the clock!

Basicly the shell seem to be in mint condition, just a few rust spots under the boot floor, but that just how 205's are.

I'm pleased with it, gonna sell the styling bits and put it back togeather with some nice standard parts.

Some pics of the nastyness:

That poor thing, its awful :)

Why do people insist on sticking this tat to their cars?

I'm sure it will be better soon

Yes it could have been worse, the bonus is that it's almost impossible to get good 205's over here now, and this is the most mint shell I've ever seen on a 205.

This will definately keep me occupied now when the 2.3 litre trackday car is soonish finished

Wow, furry doorcards!

I love taking on projects like this and returning them to their former glory. Usually you can make some money back selling the tat which you take off the car.

There is a question mark missing on the tailpanel...

Good to hear you will be taking the plastic garbage off!

Mainly only bolt on bits that ruin it :D

What is the switch below the l/h air vent?

Yes, really looks crap, and it's barely hanging on too, the rear bumper is really flappy :D

I think I'll take the whole car to pieces.. and rebuild it from scratch, get it on the side and fix rust underneath etc. will be some work, but I can't afford to have plates on it for a few years I think so why not just take a full makeover :D

No idea, I've tried to switch it but nothing really happened.

Maybe it was something to do with the big stereo that was removed when I got it.

Hm don't think so, wanna keep this one pretty standard, but a 160bhp Mi16 engine might find its way into it...

About the airfilter, no idea really, at least the worst place to have it :)

I didn't like the 17" wheels that were on this car before.

These:

So I made a deal with a guy in the norwegian peugeot spoct club.. and I got these 4 babies + an Mi16 servoopump in exhange for the 4 17" rims on the 205.

At least I'm happy with the deal

Need a repaint though, but almost no scratches!

The car now looks like this btw:

I know, had a server crash.

Pics in the first page can be found here now instead:

Got my Mi16 liners back from hooning yesterday too, thinking of a standard spec D6C Mi16 engine with at Petert stage 1 inlet camshaft for this engine.

Running it on a 3 row ECU, as I always find the 3 rows to give the engine much nicer behavior. :)
