pug_ham 244 3 Cars Posted April 29, 2007 Are the plug leads in the right order, dizzy cap, rotor arm & leads in giood condition & have you got a spark at all of the plugs? The other hose from the induction pipe goes to the SAD. Graham.
clifton 0 Posted April 29, 2007 (edited) here is a video of the noise if its any help to what it could be? http://s147.photobucket.com/albums/r285/cl...ideoox-0007.flv Edited April 29, 2007 by clifton
boldy205 75 Posted April 29, 2007 concidering you will have moved a lot of old crusty wires around when changing the box id run the engine and check/wiggle pulsgs as wires tend to crack where they enter the multi plugs. i have a very violent miss, it was a AFM wire. as for the noise in the vid, YIKES!!! sounds like a tractor!! clifton 0 Posted April 29, 2007 i will check all of the wires then and ill get a new set of ht leads and distributor cap and see if this makes any difference...if it doesnt does anyone have ny ideas about what it could be? ben
luggy 13 Posted April 29, 2007 (edited) Check all the earths after changing the box? Had a similar problem some years ago after doing an oil and filter change. Fired up and would only run on 3 cylinders, changed the spark plugs which solved the problem, strange how a spark plug failed at that point in time. pug_ham 244 3 Cars Posted April 30, 2007 I got a text of Ben earlier, there was a pushed back pin on the AFM plug, now its idling at 3k but the misfire has gone afaik. Graham.
