Clutch Cable

i had my gearbox swapped over, from a be1 to a be3...and ive put it all back apart from the clutch cable because i dont know to put it back...sounds stupid i know...i had someone look at it but they they said i was missing some rubber thing that goes onto the end of the cable..is this right? if it is what is the part called and does anyone have a part number?

 

 

this is the clutch cable i have. is it th right one?

if it doesnt need this rubber thing how do i fit the cable...pictures would be much appreciated

take a picture of the whole cable if you ca, to me it looks like theres a part missing there.

Ben, I'm sure I looked at your cable when I refitted the gearbox & it was all there so it should fit with no problem.

 

There is nothing missing on either end, the end above is complete, as the the pedal end in the picture below;

I guess the confusing bit is the lack of a bracket such as on the be1? the large black piece on the left of your pic pushes into the round bottomed lugs on the gearbox and has a couple of sprung clips in the plastic to locate it

I've posted a picture of where the outer cable end stop fits into the gearbox before here.

 

The plastic bung by the adjusting nuts fits into the clutch arm.

 

If you can't figure it out from this let me know & I could call round on Friday evening to show you / fit it into the gearbox.

 

Have you done the pedal yet?
