RossD 44 Posted April 27, 2007 (edited) does anybody know where to get the gasket/re-build kits for the solex, i have searched high and low for them? http://www.carburetters.co.uk/ These guys sorted me out a few years back, full rebuild kit with all seals and gaskets, new needle valve for about £30. Also they include a reaming kit and some PTFE to "recondition" the spindle bearings in the carb. Edited April 27, 2007 by RossD

RossD 44 Posted May 18, 2007 just to add, around my carb there always seems to be fuel or oil residue could this be my carb gasket ? There are quite a few gaskets in the carburettor, you might have to be more specific? Do you mean the big one between the carb and the manifold?
djinuk 2 Posted May 18, 2007 yeah sorry should of been a little more clear on that
Guest martyn_mcg Posted May 23, 2007 thats nothing to worry about its just from where the oil breater pipe sends a bit of oil vapor up into the inlet and it fids its way out, i give mine a good blast with carb cleaner now and then and it looks a lot better
