Rob Thomson 6 Posted April 25, 2007 The cooling seems a bit marginal on my 1.6, so thought I'd treat it to a new thermostat and radiator. There's a GSF in Cheltenham and they do rads for about £40, which sounds pretty good to me. But are they any good? Do they fit properly? Also, I assume 1.9 and 1.6 rads are all the same? Thanks. Yes, they are fine - well the couple I've had have been Ordonez (sp?) I think this is OE in some cases? The 1.6 & 1.9 are the same..... Trev

mat1227 1 Posted April 25, 2007 My GSF one I got brand new a year or so ago was dented when I got it out of the packaging, so check before you leave the store! Lots of bent fins otherwise fine
Grim.Badger 15 Posted April 25, 2007 I've got a GSF aluminium one, absolutely fine. Mine was made by Valeo so maybe they have a few suppliers.
ChrisG 0 Posted April 25, 2007 i've never had any problems with anything from GSF, think it should be fine
John_B 11 Posted April 25, 2007 Mine was a Nissens. It still looks fine after 3ish years, certainly a hell of a lot better than the GSF driving lights I bought less than a year ago which are covered in rust

Miles 331 1 Cars Posted April 25, 2007 I think there latest stock of rads is the fine finned normal metal type which are OK just not as good as the ones above, Might be worth trying ECP and saying you want a Nissens one The Denji lights are cr*p, a set I fitted to a car 5 months ago have rusty frames already, My CTI uses OE ones and have only just started to show after 6 yr's
