jtek 0 Posted April 23, 2007 does anybody know where i could get the vacuum advance unit for my 1.6 GTI with a bosch dizzy? i rang peugeot just now and apparently they aren't making them anymore, and i have checked GSF and ECP and it doesn't seem they have them either. will i just have to get a 2nd hand dizzy? or are there any other motorfactors that do them? thanks
welshpug 1,657 Posted April 23, 2007 any bosch parts supplier can help you there, theres one on Lansdown Road in cardiff, shorts auto electrical IIRC. GSF do supply VW ones, so I wouldnt be surprised if they will fit a 205 dizzy as the bodies will fit a pug apparently.
hengti 2 Posted April 23, 2007 Autofive sell them; about £
Ryan 99 Posted April 23, 2007 Most motor factors that can supply Bosch stuff can get them. It's not the sort of thing they tend to keep in stock, but they can usually order them in for you. I bought one from my local motor factors about 18 months ago - cost £17 iirc, and only took 2 days to arrive.
jtek 0 Posted April 24, 2007 Thanks for the replies everyone, GMF may be able to get one if i can find the 10 digit bosch code for the part, but all i could see was the code on the actual dizzy, which is 0 237 009 063. does anybody know the code for the advance unit to go with this? thanks
welshpug 1,657 Posted April 24, 2007 not sure which one you need, as there are 2 listed for dizzys with the following part numbers on the parts disc, BOSCH 0237009062 /063 /075 /076 see if they can cross reference them to pug part numbers maybe? 5951 64 VACUUM UNIT 5951 80 VACUUM UNIT
