Grim.Badger 15 Posted April 23, 2007 Is there any major problem with having one 185/55 and one 195/50 tyre up front? I know ideally I should replace tyres in pairs but I'm trying to save money for something else and only need one new tyre. I have an Avon CR338 in 185/55 and want a Goodyear F1 195/50 to pair with it, Goodyear F1s in 185/55 are about £70 as opposed to £
TEKNOPUG 3 Posted April 23, 2007 This is a joke, right?!
Rob_the_Sparky 10 Posted April 23, 2007 Buy two F1s. It isn't a good idea to mix brands on a single axle let alone sizes...
Jrod 7 Posted April 23, 2007 It's also an mot failure to have different tyre sizes on the same axle isn't it?
James_m 0 Posted April 23, 2007 Yes, i can confirm it is an MOT failure....
inferno 1 Posted April 23, 2007 I never had a problem with bugdet 185 55 15s at 26£ a throw... and yes... axle pairs must be same size tyre.
Grim.Badger 15 Posted April 23, 2007 (edited) F**k I thought as much but wasn't sure. And no it's not a joke, I don't have the money to throw away on a tire I might not need Edited April 23, 2007 by Grim.Badger
