Does Anyone Have A Gti-6 Engine In Their 205?

Recommended Posts

So fully dressed approx 35-40kg's heavier than an 8v. (15-20 more than an Mi).

Probably no heavier than having an XUDT engine up front.

Graham.

Kate in the pic on the other page it looks like you are using a gti6 style top engine mount. How did you space this to lower the engine as it looks hard to do with the 2 bolts that come off at an angle?

Cheers

Ah ok thanks for that. Do you know if anyone has managed with the 306 mount?

it fits thats for sure, but would make lowering the position of the engine a bitch of a job!

I presume this is to allow it to clear the bulkhead and maybe the servo in a 205 due to less room compared to 306/xsara/zx?

The cam cover\coil pack cover is very close to the master cylinder.

yes it allows you to keep the stock exhaust manifold without any shell mods and gives you a few precious mm's between the MC and the cam cover
